Ring and Plug canisters (also known as composite cans) are provided with a metal bottom permanently seamed to the bottom of the tube and a metal ring seamed to the top. Loose metal plugs are supplied to be inserted after the canisters are filled. This design is very convenient, as expensive seaming equipment is not required.

Ring and Plug Canisters provide a complete packaging solution for both small and large packaging projects, and arrive decorated and ready to fill without the necessity for expensive seaming equipment. A wide variety of size options are available.  Ring and plug canisters are a wise choice for many packaging projects ranging from food to cosmetics.

Although Custom Paper Tubes is well known for their “Earth Friendly” all paper telescoping and paper cap designs, we also provide specialized packaging utilizing “Composite Can” features. Canisters are produced using different materials to produce the characteristics required for a particular purpose.  Combining paper with foil barriers, peel away foil membranes with plastic over caps are examples of “Composite Cans”. Ring and Plug Style Canisters are in the “Composite Can” family as they feature a paper canister body and possibly a foil or poly liner with sturdy metal end closures. The result is a high quality, eye catching point of purchase package, as shown below.
