Important: Notification of Price Increase

Dear Customers,

Over the course of the last 6 months, China has been aggressively purchasing paper scrap that our state-side paper mills use in their manufacturing processes for paperboard used in our packaging and shipping cartons. Most recently, RISI Pulp & Paper Week recognized a $50/ton increase in the base price of liner board in the April 21, 2017 edition due to the changes in supply/demand of the scrap materials. This is the 3rd such increase we have incurred over the past 6 months from our paper and carton suppliers averaging 8% per occurrence. When China’s purchasing last effected the supply and demand within the paper industry in the 1990’s, we received 6 increases in paper and cartons over a 12 month period.

Custom Paper Tubes has attempted to absorb these material cost increases from our suppliers as much as possible, however we are now at the point where we can no longer afford to do so. Due to circumstances beyond our control, a 4% price increase will take effect on July 1st, 2017 for all products manufactured for both new and existing customers.
